Compounded medications can help patients with many urological conditions reduce symptoms and improve quality of life. Low-testosterone, erectile dysfunction, bladder problems and cancer are conditions that may be treated with custom-made, compounded solutions.
We take safety, efficacy and quality of care very seriously. As a PCAB-accredited compounded pharmacy, we follow the strictest guidelines to ensure that the medications we compound are of the highest quality.
Hypogonadism (low-testosterone, or andropause) can be treated with a topical gel rubbed into the skin. Low-T treatment has been shown to improve vitality, mood, energy, as well as bone density and cognition.
Many times, men suffering from low-T see a decrease in their libido, or sex drive, which may result in erectile dysfunction. If hormone replacement therapy (e.g. testosterone gel) does not help with their ED symptoms, patients may benefit from other ED treatment options, such as self-injections.
Commercially available ED medications, such as oral PDE5 inhibitors (Viagra™, Cialis™, and Levitra™) are not always an option for certain patients. For instance, patients with severe cardiovascular disease, severe renal disease or pulmonary disease cannot take PDE5 inhibitors. Drug contraindications and interactions are also factors preventing patients from taking PDE5 inhibitors, such as the contraindication of vasodilators in conjunction with heart medication. In addition, PDE5 are not as effective in patients who have undergone radical prostatectomy, or diabetic patients with severe vascular disease.
