What is Andropause?

Andropause is also known as the male menopause, or low testosterone. Testosterone levels can vary among men, and gradually decline after the age of 30, on average. Low testosterone can be diagnosed with a blood test. However, there are some men that do have lower than normal levels, but show no symptoms. If this is the case, treatment may not be necessary. Some of the symptoms include:

  • Depression
  • Irritability
  • Weight gain
  • Low libido
  • Hair loss
  • Hot flashes
  • Memory loss
  • Fatigue
  • Low energy
  • Insomnia
  • Gynecomastia – the enlargement of the gland tissue of the male breast

How Can Andropause, or Low Testosterone, Be Treated?

When a patient is suffering from low testosterone levels, and the symptoms that come with it, it’s important to bring levels back to an adequate through hormone therapy.

Hormone therapy are hormones derived from biological sources that are structurally identical to the natural hormones in your body. We offer testosterone in gel form that is rubbed into skin.

Low-T Therapy Absorption

Testosterone therapy is absorbed through the skin. However, achieving the desired testosterone levels can be a challenge for some patients.
